Just when our plans for Bay View were going so well we encountered huge problems with  Building Control regulations. 

Bay View is not going to meet building control stipulations. It is all to do with insulation and "green" guidelines for heating and energy use.

The problem is that as we are combining two bungalows this becomes effectively a "new build" and air source heat pumps, solar panels are deemed mandatory. We might also have to dig up the floor to install insulation! None of this was in our budget or timeframe!   

Two bungalows have been demolished and it increasing looked as if we would have no business or indeed income at all for 2024!  We have had to think hard and fast and so here is "Plan B"

Elm and Little Beech.

Elm has three bedrooms and sleeps up to four guests, we are taking the opportunity to decorate and put new carpets down, and the shower room has had a facelift. It has two garden areas,a sheltered courtyard and an enclosed garden with amazing sea views.

Little Beech will have one bedroom, fully accessible with a large lounge,  new wet room, kitchenette and patio doors to the private enclosed garden.

Elm and Little Beech together will be ideal for a two generational family holiday.There will be a 10% discount  

This has of course come as a huge blow to us and it has been a very stressful few weeks.I should be with our son and family in New Zealand but have cancelled my trip as Rick and I need to be a united front to get through this. 

But we are well, warm and safe and have the support of family and friends so much to be grateful for.

We do of course hope to welcome you to Primrose Hill again, if not in2024 then perhaps in the future but if this is not to be our very best wishes and a huge thank you for being such wonderful guests over the last 20years

Give away3 kitchens..and then need to buy a kitchenette!

Ditto sofas,tables and chairs.

Rip up carpets in Elm...” gosh we now need new carpets!”

Remove bedroom skirting to make a wet room...You guessed it .. put back skirting/ paper walls and more !

Make a blind and lovely cover for hall pew ...Heck we don’t have a big enough hall !

I had to go to Charity shop to buy back curtains!!
